Convention Community Friendship Guidelines
Although safety can be different for each individual related to personal preferences or expressed identities, we define it to mean hosting spaces and experiences that are free of harassment and discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender performance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, class, age, or ability. Harassment, threatening behavior, and violence will absolutely not be tolerated. We reserve the right to revoke, without notice your access to events and venues.

AniTOMO Cosplay Ambassador: Policies & Terms of Agreement
By joining the Cosplay Ambassador team, you agree to uphold the following values and responsibilities as an official AniTOMO representative:
Be the Face of Kindness: You are the first smile many guests will see. Ambassadors are expected to be warm, respectful, and helpful to all attendees, partners, and fellow volunteers.
Lead with Integrity: As an AniTOMO representative, you’re entrusted with creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. This means leading by example, staying approachable, and maintaining professionalism throughout the day.
Support Cosplayer Safety: Cosplay is for everyone. Ambassadors are expected to listen and respond calmly to concerns, guide cosplayers to safe spaces if needed, and report any safety issues or inappropriate behavior directly to staff, security, or venue staff.
Uphold the Cosplay Golden Rules: Kindly remind attendees that Cosplay is Not Consent and ensure everyone respects boundaries. Enforce rules with patience and positivity—think “gentle guidance, never discipline.”
Be a Helpful Guide: From helping with sign-ups to managing photo booth lines and keeping the vibe fun, your role is to lead others toward great experiences throughout the day.
Stay In Communication: Ambassadors will be given point-of-contact info with the Cosplay Conductor: Sarlada and are expected to check in with her or staff or the volunteer coordinator as needed for support, questions, or updates.
Respect the Role & Time Commitment: Ambassadors are expected to arrive at 10:30AM, remain on-site from 11AM to 7PM. Throughout the day, you'll have designated breaks, and opportunities to explore the convention and enjoy the festivities.
Giveaways & Thank-You’s: While this is a volunteer role, we aim to thank all ambassadors with giveaways from our in-kind donors, based on availability and contribution and provide a FREE table for a limited time during the day (please see staff for more details).
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
