AniTOMO Con is a high-energy, free one-day convention crafted by BIPOC trailblazing voices. Where Brooklyn meets Japan, experience an engaging event filled with captivating panels, special performances, and hands-on activities. Immerse yourself in a celebration of manga, anime, gaming, fashion, and the rich tapestry of Japanese culture!

AniTOMO Convention Code of Conduct & Community Friendship Guidelines

Arrive at your shift on time. If you are going to be late please text or call AniTOMO Volunteer Manager ahead of time so that they can make arrangements.

Wear your AniTOMO Con shirt during the entirety of your shift so that you can be easily recognizable.

Be courteous, kind and helpful to all attendees, AniTOMO staff members and volunteers. We’re all Friends!

No drugs, alcohol or use of foul language while on shift.

Consult with AniTOMO Volunteer Manager if you are confused or don’t know how to handle any issues that might arise.

Greet everyone with a genuine smile.

Report problems to AniTOMO Volunteer Manager, Guardian, or Founder.

Although safety can be different for each individual related to personal preferences or expressed identities, we define it to mean hosting spaces and experiences that are free of harassment and discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender performance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, class, age, or ability. Harassment, threatening behavior, and violence will absolutely not be tolerated. We reserve the right to revoke, without notice your access to events and venues.
